Gatot explained that when officers arrived at the location, the flames had already spread and burned down the second floor of the building which was used as a rent-house with six rooms.
"We successfully localized the fire at 9:30 AM. Afterward, officers continued the cooling process to ensure there were no remaining hotspots. The firefighting operation was declared complete at 10:22 AM," he explained.

"There were no fatalities or injuries in this incident. We urge the public to regularly check electrical installations in their homes to prevent fires," he appealed.
Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Rifa (30) said he was shocked when he saw thick smoke billowing from the second floor of the building. He immediately informed the homeowner and contacted the fire agency.
"Thankfully, officers arrived at the right time to handle the situation. I'm grateful that the fire didn't spread," he admitted.
